In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, join our monthly giving program and join a committed community of donors who are making an impact through VOA Illinois. By becoming a member, you are helping to provide supportive services such as counseling, parent training and support, crisis intervention, respite care, and case management to the birth family, the child, and the foster home/relative caregiver.
Your gift empowers us to continue helping our community's most vulnerable.
Your generosity helps provide:
A new beginning for individuals, families, and Veterans struggling with homelessness and instability
In Chicago alone, more than 500 Veterans are homeless on any given night. We serve over 600 Veterans annually and have found stable housing for 76%. Our program offers a full continuum of supportive services and interventions that are individually tailored to meet each veteran’s unique needs. Your donation can go to directly supporting our Veteran services that works towards providing short-term housing while we assist these Veterans with long-term housing needs.
A bright future for children in foster care or struggling with poverty
Our Child Welfare Program works to place children in a safe, caring alternative family environment, until they can be reunited with their biological families or placed in an adoptive home. Your donation can go directly towards the supportive services to the birth family, the child and the foster home/relative caregiver, including counseling, parent training and support, crisis intervention, respite care, case management and emergency assistance.
A better quality of life for seniors and adults with disabilities
Our Senior Housing communities provide high-quality, affordable housing with on-site support services. Your donation can go directly toward supporting elderly residents and adults with disabilities who may need assistance with shopping, transportation, communicating with medical providers or developing a plan for meal preparation.
