You’ve set aside funds to help others. Put them to work with VOA Illinois.
A place to call home. Support for a parent in recovery. School supplies a child needs to start the year.
A grant from your donor-advised fund helps support VOA’s work in housing, health, and human services – including care for older adults, services for veterans, and programs for children and families.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
A DAF is an account for charitable giving, managed by a sponsoring organization. You
contribute to the account, then recommend grants to nonprofits you want to support. Your
provider reviews and approves those recommendations.
Contact us at development@voail.org before submitting your recommendation. We’ll help you identify the right
recipient and confirm how to designate your grant.
Many providers let you schedule recurring grant recommendations. Check your account
settings or ask your provider about its options
Any eligible deduction generally applies when you contribute to your DAF. A grant from your
DAF to VOA does not create an additional deduction. Your provider or tax advisor can
answer questions about your situation.
Timing depends on your provider and how it sends the funds. Your provider can check the
status of your grant recommendation.
Whether you’re ready to recommend a grant or want to learn more about a VOA Illinois program,
