4th Annual Hope Walk

Building New Futures for Veterans, One Step at a Time

A solidarity walk to raise awareness and funds for the Veterans we serve. Volunteers of America of Illinois currently serves over 600 Veterans and Veteran families who are at risk of homelessness or in serious risk of instability.

Hope Walk begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Manor I, 3053 W. Franklin Blvd., Chicago

We will have an opening ceremony, food, music and a friendly Veteran vs. Civilian game.

Event Schedule

  • 9:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m.- check-in
  • 10:15 a.m.-10:30 a.m.- continental breakfast available
  • 10:30 a.m.- opening ceremony followed by Hope Walk
  • 11:30 a.m.- Veteran vs. Civilian basketball game
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.- Lunch
  • 1:00 p.m.- end of event

Hope Walk is stroller and leashed-dog friendly! Your registration fee includes: food, Hope Walk t-shirt and a donation to support Volunteers of America of Illinois' Veterans programs.

Volunteers of America of Illinois has responded to the needs of our nation's heroes by helping Veterans discover their full potential. Volunteers of America of Illinois offers comprehensive programs for Veterans who are struggling, in crisis or at risk of serious instability in their lives.
