Hall of Heroes: Freedom isn't Free

Volunteers of America of Illinois (VOA of IL) is dedicated to helping all veterans- especially those that are struggling or in crisis- rebuild their lives and enjoy the American dream they fought to preserve and protect. On any given night, more than 1,500 to 2,000 of these Illinois heroes are homeless. Hope Manor I, located in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood, will provide housing and supportive services to more than 80 of these veterans each year.

Scheduled to open in the fall of 2011, Hope Manor I will recognize the service of all military personnel with Memorial Murals, Room Recognition and the Hall of Heroes.

A limited number of brushed-plated bricks in the main hall of Hope Manor I will be available for families to recognize existing and past service members. Permanent remembrances are available in the following sizes:

*Legacy Placement: $1,000
Brick measures 12" x 8" and will be placed on the front entryway Legacy Wall. Includes complimentary U.S. Flag engraving.

*Heritage Placement: $500
Brick measures 10" x 6" and will be positioned on Donor Wall.

*Contributing Placement: $250
Brick measures 8" x 4" and will be positioned on Donor Wall.

Hall of Heroes will help fund wrap around services for veterans enrolled in VOA of IL's True North Project. A portion of your gift is tax-deductible. Consult your tax advisor.
