The Veterans Leadership Luncheon hosted by Volunteers of America highlights the unique challenges facing Veterans and honors the exceptional leadership of individuals who are standing up for Veterans.

The Keynote Speaker for our
 6th Annual Veterans Leadership Luncheon is Dan O'Shea. 

Dan O’Shea is a combat veteran with more than twenty years of special operations experience and multiple Middle East (Iraq/Afghanistan) and Africa tours. An asymmetric warfare specialist with extensive overseas and combat experience, O’Shea is a recognized subject matter expert in counter-insurgency, terrorism, and kidnapping/hostage rescue. Dan O’Shea served as a counter-insurgency (COIN) advisor for the Commander International Security Assistance Force (COMISAF) Afghanistan from 2011-2012. O’Shea is a former Navy SEAL Commander and Army Ranger qualified officer.

O’Shea expertly managed the inter-agency coordination of more than 300 kidnapping incidents and played a direct role in every major international kidnapping incident in Iraq from 2004 to 2006. He is a frequent lecturer to the Business Executives for National Security (BENS), Columbia University and a frequent CNN, BBC, Fox and MSNBC military and counterterrorism analyst. He Co-Produced the Discovery Channel’s “Kidnap & Rescue” series on the global kidnapping industry.
